
Recently, the Western New England University School of Law held its Annual Alumni Recognition Reception. The event featured the presentation of the Dean’s Award, the Distinguished Alumnus Award, Ascending Alumni Award, the Distinguished Law Review Alumna Award.
The Law Alumni Board of Directors recognized James Harrington of Polito and Harrington with its Ascending Alumni Award for 2018. The Board noted James’s work on the Lewis v. Clark case, which was appealed to the United States Supreme Court resulting in a landmark unanimous ruling, changing tribal law across the nation.
James practices tribal law both at the Mohegan Tribal Court and Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Court at Foxwoods. James represents individuals who have been injured at Mohegan Sun Casino or Foxwoods Casino.
