COURAGE THAT INSPIRES – Traumatic Brain Injury

One of my first challenges as a lawyer was to represent a young man who suffered a traumatic brain injury in a car accident.  He needed help obtaining special education services in a small school system that had little experience with such an injury – but his mother would not be deterred.  Her determination and tenacity compelled me to do all I could for her son.

Our work at Polito Law calls for us to represent many folks harmed by the negligence of others.  Our clients need us to fight for them and to guide them during a difficult process.  But there is something especially powerful which takes place in many of our cases – our clients’ refusal to give up in the face of incredibly difficult circumstances inspires us in our work.   Day after day we witness the quiet strength and courage of injured folks recuperating and fighting to keep a job and pay bills; the determination of people who work through rehab and life changing injuries; the courage of parents who fight for the safety and health of their own children; the grace and dignity of those who grieve the loss of someone they love.

We are grateful to and honored by these fine people whom we represent and who inspire us and give us strength each and every day.
